SEMA Show 2022: New Restoration Parts

2023-01-05 16:45:21 By : Ms. Summer zhao

The SEMA Show started as a way for automotive aftermarket manufacturers to show off their new parts and products to potential distributors and retailers, and what better way to advertise an automotive product than on a custom car? Most manufacturers' booths at the SEMA Show feature at least one custom or restored car, and 2022 saw some of the highest-quality builds the Las Vegas Convention Center has ever seen, as SEMA Show 2022 builders stepped up their game. We've assembled a list of the latest and greatest restoration parts to help you level-up your project car build. Or, you know, just get it running again.

Don't piecemeal your gauge cluster—get a full factory-style cluster from Classic Instruments. Everything works together and can talk to Holley EFI systems perfectly, too. These direct-fit assemblies come as a single unit, making installation much easier than trying to replace gauges in a dried-out and cracked plastic cluster. Pictured is the 1964-1967 Pontiac GTO gauge set, but just about any classic car, muscle car, or pickup truck is covered. Holley.com

The perfect complement to your new OBS Chevy Totally Tubular control arms and X10 spindles (read below) upgrades the brake system with CPP's HydraStop hydraulic-assist system for vacuum-boosted brakes. This compact hydraulic brake booster is perfect for large-cam, low-vacuum applications, or wherever more braking power is needed, with up to 1800 psi of hydraulic pressure available at the wheels. The OBS Chevy HydraStop hydraulic assist system works with ½-, ¾-, and 1-ton 1988-1998 OBS Chevy trucks, utilizes the stock master cylinder, and is a 100-percent brand-new unit that does not require any modification to the truck for installation. Want to lower your OBS Chevy, but have reservations about cutting up sheetmetal? CPP has a solution with its new, narrowed Totally Tubular control arms with X-10 spindles and sealed-bearing hubs! The control arms are a bolt-in replacement, add 5-degrees of caster (improves handling), and are equipped with self-lubricating plastic bushings that will outlast any urethane or rubber, and do not require any cutting of sheetmetal to install. The narrow control arms also work with factory coil springs, lowering coil springs, or CPP's double-adjustable coil-overs, and include adapter links to attach the stock anti-sway bar. The control arms pair perfectly with CPP's X10 spindles and sealed-bearing hubs, which are lighter and stronger than stock (can handle big brakes and ABS, no problem) and available in dropped configurations. With this combo, OBS Chevy owners gain another 0.5-inch per side of wheel clearance for a total of 1.5 inches of clearance for nearly any wheel fitment imaginable. ClassicPerform.com

Turn your dowdy longbed 1967-1972 F-100 into a sporty shortbed with this frame-shortening kit from the classic truck pros at CPP. The kit provides all the templates, C-channel gusseting plates, and hardware to perfectly bisect and bolt together the F-100 frame rails. No welding is required to achieve the shortbed look. CPP does recommend welding for long-term use, but the kit makes that easy, too. CPP's F-100 frame-shortening kit also comes with a diagram to convert the longbed bumper mounts to shortbed bumper mounts, completing the look. ClassicPerform.com

CPP has plenty of offerings for Tri-Five Chevy suspension components, from stock replacements all the way to Pro Touring setups, and now they offer a narrowed set of the Totally Tubular coil-over conversion control arms. The new control arms are 1.5-inches narrower than the standard Tri-Five Chevy Totally Tubular control arms, creating more space and opening up options for wider wheel fitment packages. As with all Totally Tubular control arms from CPP, the narrowed Tri-Five Chevy arms preserve full range of motion and wheel-travel. ClassicPerform.com

Preserve the classic midcentury looks with the original 14-inch wheels on your Tri-Five Chevy and run powerful and modern disc brakes too, with help from CPP. The Tri-Five chassis and suspension experts now offer a 10.5-inch-diameter disc brake kit that comes with the tried-and-true Big Bore calipers. Available with or without spindles and/or steering arms, the Tri-Five Chevy 14-inch wheel disc brake kit does not push the wheels out from the factory drum location, improving braking performance without disrupting that sleek 1950s style. COMP Cams' research and development team have their ears to the ground and they're hearing more and more that people have been complaining about flattened camshafts. Comp's research shows that many of those failures come down to the lifter, so they redesigned the solid lifter for flat-tappet cams with a DLC-coated tool-steel body that's more economically priced than a normal DLC-coated tool-steel lifter. Comp Cams' tool-steel lifters are lighter and stronger than a standard flat-tappet solid lifter, and coupled with the low-friction DLC coating, these lifters are also more efficient than a standard lifter, which translates to more usable power. See and be seen with a plug-and-play solution for sealed-beam-style headlights. No more borrowing the gaudy and oversized LED lights from Jeeps; these forward-facing lights replace sealed-beam headlights in nearly every car manufactured from the 1960s to the 1990s. No fancy wiring is required, and ballasts and capacitors are built into each modular unit, meaning they won't flicker. These are a true, direct plug-in. Holley RetroBrite LED lights are three times brighter than standard incandescent sealed-beam bulbs, last six times longer, and draw half the amperage. Quad-headlamp setups aren't forgotten—there are part numbers for bright-only modules, as well. The LED headlight modules come in three flavors: European yellow (5,700K with yellow lens), Classic White (3,000K), and Modern White (5,700K). And they're safe, too—they won a National Street Rod Association Safety award and everything! Holley.com

Ideal for narrow engine compartments, like the Mopar A-bodies and GM platforms they seem to be finding themselves in lately, these Gen III Hemi exhaust manifolds are a 1-2-3 punch—high-flowing (2.5-inch outlet), compact, and affordable. Available in multiple finishes, these cast high-silicon-moly ductile-iron exhaust manifolds are lighter and more durable than any cast manifold Detroit has equipped as standard. Holley.com

Maintain the look of a traditional street rod at an affordable price. No more rusty, cracked junkyard manifolds; these Hooker SBC cast exhaust manifolds benefit from modern manufacturing techniques and are made with much higher-quality alloys than were used from the factory. Holley.com
